PSJA ECHS Senior Earns Prestigious Full-Ride Terry Scholarship to UT Austin

Student to attend UT-Austin's highly competitive McCombs School of Business  

SAN JUAN – PSJA Early College High School (ECHS) senior Alessandra Cavazos has been awarded the highly competitive Terry Foundation Scholarship, a full-ride scholarship that will allow her to attend The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin), where she will pursue her studies at the nationally recognized McCombs School of Business. 
 
The Terry Scholarship is one of Texas’ most prestigious merit-based scholarships, awarded to outstanding students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a strong commitment to service. Recipients receive full funding for tuition, fees, housing, book, and other educational expenses, along with ongoing mentorship and leadership development opportunities throughout their college experience. 
 
Alessandra was selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants from across the state, recognized for her dedication, perseverance, and commitment to academic success. Through PSJA ISD’s Early College Program, she has taken rigorous college-level coursework and actively participated in opportunities that have prepared her for success at the next level. 
 
The Terry Foundation Scholars Program not only provides financial support but also fosters a strong network of scholars committed to leadership and service across Texas. Alessandra now joins a distinguished group of students who will go on to make an impact in their communities and beyond.
